Wood Street Indoor Market has a new team behind it. Walthams, the letting agent for this part of E17, have taken over the running of the market and are now looking after the building, the units and the traders inside them.
For anyone walking through the door, nothing changes. The corridor is the same corridor, the shops are the same shops, and it all opens Tuesday to Saturday just as it always has.
What changes is what comes next. There are empty units to fill, a frontage that deserves some attention, and a market that has been quietly brilliant for seventy years without ever making much noise about it. That last part is about to change.
